Simple, easy operation and repair. RMO cost and troubles should be minimum.

Safe against future pollution of water. Water lines should be laid away from
drainage and sewerage lines.
(vi)
Safe and should not cause failure of pipelines by bursting.
(vii)
Water should be available even during breakdown periods.
(viii)
Water-tight and leakage losses should be minimum.
(ix)
No obstruction of traffic during repairs.
