obtained by moulding clay in rectangular blocks of uniform size and then drying
and burning these blocks. In order to get a good quality brick, the brick earth
should contain silica, Alumina, Lime, Iron oxide and Magnesia. Initially bricks
are manufactured by hand moulding, sun dried and then burned. Nowadays due to
technological advancement improved techniques are used for moulding, drying and
burning. The standard Size of Brick is 190 x 90 x 90 mm and with mortar joints,
the size of these bricks are taken as 200 mm x 100 mm x100 mm.
